Buenos Aires, November 26 (NA) – A man was arrested on Wednesday evening after throwing glass and ceramics from a window of the Buenos Aires Metropolitan Cathedral onto the public street. The Argentine News Agency (NA) learned this from police sources, who emphasized that the incident occurred around 21:34 when the 911 service received an alert call. Upon arrival, personnel from the 1D Neighborhood Police Station confirmed the situation and evacuated the area as a safety measure. The man, who was inside the closed temple, was finally subdued on a terrace on the San Martín street side of the roof. It was also reported that there were no injuries among police personnel, and firefighters were called in for the descent. SAME personnel transported the detainee to the Argerich Hospital with a diagnosis of substance consumption.
